TUNA 8 and Under Pre-Team Swim Clinic for Spring Season 2026
Location: Osseo Middle School Pool
When: Monday, March 9 – Wednesday, March 11, 2026 7-8pm each night
- Registration opens February1, 2026, and closes when full. Once full, the first 10 athletes may join a waitlist,
- Cost is $45 per swimmer for full clinic.
- Registered swimmers choosing not to attend, not able to do the minimum requirements, or choosing to withdraw for any reason will not have registration fees refunded. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Pre-Team Swim Clinic is an opportunity for new swimmers to learn what it feels like to be on a swim team. The clinic runs for 3 days. Swimmers will work on stroke mechanics and technique, learn basic drills, work on appropriate skills for the age/level of the swimmer, meet coaches, make new friends, and have fun at the same time. At the conclusion of the clinic, team-ready swimmers will receive a training team assignment for the spring season.
Who can attend this clinic:
- Swimmers 8 and under who have never been part of a swim team.
- Swimmers who are interested in transferring from a NON-USA team.
- Swimmers transferring from another USA team who currently hold a MNSI membership. Swimmers 9 and older should attend a tryout with Coach Sharon
Requirements:
- Swimmers should be able to swim 25 yards Backstroke and Freestyle with rhythmic breathing continuously and unaided.
- Previous swim lesson experience is highly recommended.
- A swimsuit and goggles are required.
- Swim caps will be provided and are required to be worn.
The Tuna Swim Club is a competitive swim team, and we currently don't provide swim lessons. The clinic is not a lesson program.
