Coach's Notes 11.22.2025

Fall session will be wrapping up next week. So much to be aware of:

  • Winter registration is now closed. After looking at numbers and comparing them to resources and pools, there will be a few changes to accommodate group sizes and coaching requests and needs.

Tunny: We will continue our split groups on Saturdays. Please attend the time slot you have been attending. Of course, there may be occasional days where we need to combine or shift to a different day.

Mackerel: No changes

Skipjack:  No changes

Bronze: No changes

Silver: Will be sharing the pool with Gold on a regular basis

Gold: Will be sharing the pool with Silver on a regular basis

Sr1, Sr2 and Elite. Mondays will have a staggered start to accommodate the Dryland/yoga. Sr2/E will swim 6 to 7:15 followed by dryland/Yoga until 8. Sr 1 will start at 6:30 with dryland /yoga followed by pool time until 8:30. Tuesdays and the occasional Thursday SR 1 will be at Breck.

The calendar is a work in progress and should reflect the adjustments over the next few days.

  • During the holiday break there are several shifts with district calendars.
  • There will be 6 stroke clinics over the holiday break for the Tunnys, Macks and Jacks levels. Once these are set up they will be posted on the website and sign ups can start. We wanted to get through the winter registration.
  • Single age state meet entries will be finalized/updated and sent in on Monday. This is the final day that I can send them in without penalty. This is a times standards meet. We are only permitted to enter 1 relay per gender per event.
  • Velocity/ Metro Marlins meet. These entries are being worked on and will be updated and finalized on Monday.
  • Aquajet meet is also being finalized and sent in before Thanksgiving.
  • Mako (Hudson, WI) meet will have time standards applied for entry. That same weekend we have the Monticello/GCA meet. Swimmers who do not qualify for the MAKO meet should be entering the Monticello meet. IF A SWIMMER ENTERS THE MAKO and doesn’t have enough events to make sense, coaches will move them to the Monticello/GCA meet.
